11 "Faux Pas" That Are Actually Okay To Do With Your Robot Vacuum Deals

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever wanted to get a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that appears like a toy rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel which other robots can't. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a  robot vacuum cleaner  that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best choice. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.

Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missed corners and on walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place emptying the bin can be accomplished with relative ease. It also has an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the top available however, it's also expensive.

Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does well at picking up the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models for considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, simply connect one of the side brushes, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space for it to move around but.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The primary feature that makes the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. When it needs to recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and offers similar battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand, is more affordable and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
